A house like a deep breath.
Gipfelglück is narrow, tall and open from bottom to top: no hallway, no dividing doors, just space that leads upward. That sounds like little, and it’s exactly right for two. In 42 square metres, you can hear yourself think again. And when you open your eyes in the morning, the first thing you see is the sky above the trees.
Caro’s favourite spot is the freestanding bathtub. It stands in the middle of the room, right in front of a large window that looks not into the distance, but into the treetops. You lie in the warm water and look into the forest. You can hardly get a better break for two.

Gipfelglück is in Montabaur-Reckenthal, in the middle of the nature park. On your doorstep: forest and the Sculpture Trail. About 25 minutes away: the UNESCO World Heritage town of Bad Ems with its Emser Therme, Koblenz at the Deutsches Eck, and the small towns of the Lahn valley. The WesterwaldSteig is also 25 minutes away, and the Westerwald Lake District 30.

Gipfelglück is designed to be open from bottom to top across three floors, largely without interior doors. That makes the house airy and special, but it’s deliberately designed for two people who are close. If you need strictly separate retreat spaces, you’ll be better off at Waldwunder.
Yes, the sauna house “Hitzekiste” belongs to both holiday homes and is included in the daily rate, with no extra charge and no fixed times. Heat it up whenever you feel like it. Panoramic window into the forest, then a rain shower or Kneipp hose. We provide bathrobes and towels.
Bookings are made directly through this website, not through portals. The minimum stay is three nights, with arrival from 3:00 PM. After your request, we confirm personally, then you secure your dates with a 50% deposit. Arrival is contactless via a key box, and you’ll receive the code by email in advance.
